Join us Saturday, June 20, for a delightful afternoon of roots music with Tim McWilliams at the Orchard at Altapass!
Tim is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist and singer deeply rooted in the traditional music of Western North Carolina. After receiving a 2021 “In These Mountains” Apprenticeship grant from the North Carolina Arts Council, he studied under the legendary Madison County musician Josh Goforth, mastering the rich guitar and banjo traditions passed down through generations.
With over 800 performances across the Southeast, an endorsement from Larrivée Guitars, and appearances at festivals like MerleFest and LEAF, Tim brings authentic mountain music to life with warmth and skill.
This family-friendly event will be held in our beautiful outdoor music pavilion overlooking the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains — the perfect way to enjoy a relaxed Saturday afternoon surrounded by music, nature, and good company.
About the Orchard Music Program
The Orchard Music Program offers live, traditional music in support of our nonprofit mission to preserve the history, heritage and culture of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our hope is to educate the public about the Appalachian experience so that these important traditions may be carried forward with future generations.
