The Orchard at Altapass is excited to announce its opening date for the 2026 season–Saturday, May 2nd–and what a fun weekend we have in store.
We’ll be kicking off our season with a special fundraising event, Bluegrass at Altapass. This 2-day Bluegrass and Bluegrass Gospel music festival benefits the Orchard, helping with the many field repairs still underway as a result of the damage from Hurricane Helene in 2024. Be sure to take a look at our 2026 Events Calendar for all the details of this and our other upcoming events, like Pipes on the Parkway, and our annual Gospel Hymn Sing.
During the month of May, the Orchard’s General Store will be open Saturdays and Sundays from 10AM to 5PM serving up hand-scooped ice cream, warm apple pie, and home-made fudge. Come by and browse our unique selection of handcrafted items from local artisans, potters, and woodworkers–there’s something for everyone!
