The Boone Trail Band, a group of musicians from North Carolina and Tennessee, play a mix of Bluegrass and Classic Country music. All five members—Lou Hodges (Upright Bass & Vocals), Marlene Crosby (Accordion, Guitar & Vocals), Tricia Eaves (Mandolin, Guitar & Vocals), Farrell Shepherd (Guitar, Mandolin & Vocals), and Christy Rash (Banjo)—have many years of stage and recording experience. Plan on spending an afternoon with them – And don’t forget your dancing shoes!
The Orchard Music Program offers live, traditional music in support of our nonprofit mission to preserve the history, heritage and culture of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our hope is to educate the public about the Appalachian experience so that these important traditions may be carried forward with future generations.
