Junior Appalachian Musicians believes that children who are actively engaged in traditional mountain music are more connected and better prepared to strengthen their communities for future generations. And that is why we are always excited to welcome the JAM kids for an afternoon of music at the Orchard. Their mission is to provide communities with the support and tools they need to teach children to play and dance to traditional old time and bluegrass music. Please join us in supporting this wonderful program the carries forward the traditions of our region to the next generation!
The Orchard Music Program offers live, traditional music in support of our nonprofit mission to preserve the history, heritage and culture of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our hope is to educate the public about the Appalachian experience so that these important traditions may be carried forward with future generations.
