Join us for the 2nd Annual Bluegrass at Altapass Festival, a weekend celebration of traditional bluegrass and bluegrass gospel music set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Taking place Saturday and Sunday, May 2–3, 2026, this year’s festival has grown into a two-day event, featuring an expanded lineup of talented regional musicians, along with two special performances from area music students and a heartfelt gospel singalong.

Festivities will be held in the Orchard’s scenic music pavilion, where rolling mountain views and live music come together in a way that’s hard to beat. Saturday’s schedule runs from 10 AM to 4 PM, and Sunday from 11 AM to 4 PM—plenty of time to settle in, soak up the sounds, and enjoy the atmosphere.

While you’re here, be sure to stop by the Orchard’s General Store, open both days from 10 AM to 5 PM, offering fresh fudge, hot apple pie, and hand-scooped ice cream. Admission to the festival is free, though donations are encouraged and will go toward ongoing recovery and repair efforts following the damage caused by Hurricane Helene. Come for the music, stay for the views, and be part of something that continues to grow each year.

All donations from Bluegrass at Altapass go right back into the Orchard, supporting our recovery from Hurricane Helene, specifically the areas of erosion and landslides that need reinforcement.

While we warmly encourage donations to support this important work, admission is FREE!

The Blue Ridge Parkway is under repair, check the best alternate routes to the Orchard as you plan your trip: www.altapassorchard.org/direction
