FOUNDERS

Over a quarter of a century ago, three people, related by blood, love, and consonant ideals, joined together to "save the good stuff," a serendipitous gesture that still resonates at the Orchard at Altapass today.
THE ORCHARD TEAM

The Orchard at Altapass Foundation is fortunate to have so many dedicated people who have come together in support of our mission. Without them, the Orchard at Altapass couldn't exist as a vibrant, active, and above all, FUN destination.

Wouldn't it be great to think you could do it alone? But no one can. It takes community. And the Orchard loves ours. Meet the people who make us GREAT!  These are some amazing folks that we simply couldn't do without.  They are the face of our organization and provide us with the ability to do so much more that we could otherwise.

Volunteers

We thank JoAnn Harlllee for her work on our Go Fund Me Project, the Toe River Model Railroaders plus two additional volunteers, and Keith Moir from Penland School of Craft for his work on the stand-up props.

We would also extend a hand of gratitude to Ann Kernaham for her well-loved an cared for train set which will take up residence with the model Clinchfield Railroad Project. And to Robert and Patti Lance a huge thank you for their generous donation of a Kawasaki ATV, already a well-used fixture along the Orchard trails.
We add to our list of most appreciated volunteers (see above) Sam McKinney and Janet Wiseman who are helping to turn on the music for our upcoming internet radio show "Stores from the Orchard" with Bill. And Alan Womack our computer guru and person who is bringing the Orchard to the world with his radiojar.com station
